My Design Philosophy

Design is often treated as the final polish, but design is a strategic tool, and should be involved every step along the way. I believe in literally designing your way to your desired outcomes.

My process relies heavily on research (organizational, user, competitor) in order to understand both the current situation and the desired future state. Design is then how you get there — My job is to determine the right deliverables and approaches to reach those goals. This often focuses on the intersection of brand, product and content design.

To that end, I am just as interested in designing the larger underlying concept as I am about the smaller elements that support it. This translates to design systems with a consistent message across channels and deliverables.
